Baby Spirits & Singing Saints

A Reincarnation Diary

“Alright Baby Spirits, Listen Up.” I remember those words so well, from the last time I was visiting Heaven.

Maybe I should record these memories before they fade away in the light of day.

Where’s the tape recorder?

I can still remember St. Peter's voice. He was announcing last minute instructions, before sending us back to earth.

We were ignoring him, of course. We already knew what he was saying, about how God loves us, and how the holy spirit will be with us every step of the way.

And how the rules of the spirit world still apply to us, when we’re finally reincarnated, and born again, with physical bodies, on planet earth.

We already knew what St. Peter was saying, of course, because we’ve all been born and reborn many times.. over many lifetimes. So many lifetimes.. It’s hard to remember.

And there's so much to do before being reborn. No one has time for sermons from St. Peter, when they’re being born again on planet earth.

The most important thing for baby spirits is to find spiritual partners and soul mates, who will join them for another lifetime of play on planet earth.

Baby Spirits are always looking for new soul mates. People are social animals, even in Heaven, and more so on earth.

Having a spiritual soul mate - one who might be born as a brother or sister, or a future spouse, or a friend - can make a big difference in your life. Everyone needs a soul mate, and spiritual friends, from time to time.

Would you like to be my Soul Mate?

I’ve asked that question so many times.

But finding a perfect partner in heaven is not as easy as it sounds. It all depends on your Karmic (Cosmic) Score, if you believe in such things.

Only God knows if human views of rebirth are true, but this is one story of reincarnation, based on a lot of research, in a lot of spiritual literature, along with some divine inspiration.

How Long is a Lifetime?

For people who believe in reincarnation, a fully reincarnated lifetime on earth can last for 120 years. And after 120 years, we can be born again, to start a new 120 year lifecycle.

Here on planet earth, if we die before the allotted 120 years is up, we have options of waiting in Heaven as an angel - maybe as a guiding angel or guardian angel - or coming back to earth as a dog or cat, or a bird, or a fish, or some other living thing, until the 120 year lifetime is complete.

No matter when we live or die, according to the Rules of Reincarnation, we have to wait the full 120 years before we can be reborn again as a human being. That’s why 120 years is considered a lifetime, in the spirit world.

After our 120 year lifetime is complete, God sends us back to earth, as bundles of spiritual energy. These energy balls are called Baby Spirits, because Baby Spirits come to earth with a special purpose.. to be born again.

As the cosmic clock continues ticking in heaven, baby spirits are born all over the place, but some take longer than others to find a new home.

If we live on earth for a hundred years, for example, we still have 20 years to wait, from our allotted 120 lifetime years, before we can be born again, as a baby boy or girl, here on planet earth.

Waiting 20 years to be reincarnated again is like having a long vacation, with enough time to tour the world, in spiritual form, while searching for a perfect home. Baby Spirits have all the fun.

Past Lifetimes

Some Baby Spirits choose to spend their extra time as a pet dog, or happy house cat.

In a previous lifetime, I can remember being a bird for a few years, but it was lonely up there.. always looking down on people who were having more fun than me.

As a high flying bird, all I really wanted was to be born again, as a real live person. But first, I needed to find parents, who could help me achieve my destiny.

So I left my little bird body and became a Baby Spirit, touring the physical world, searching for a place to be born again, and perfect parents, and newfound friends to be born with.

Searching for a perfect partner on earth is much like trying to find a perfect partner in heaven. There are family networks and dating services, and lots of introductions and referrals. Baby spirits can spend a lot of time searching for soul mates, and kindred spirits and perfect parents and perfect partners.

But achieving perfection is harder than it sounds, because perfect partners rarely happen.

Being perfect partners requires living together, on earth, for 100 years or more. Living 100 years is a challenge for a single person. Finding someone who wants to live with you for 100 years is even more difficult.

In ancient legends, there are mythical stories of loving couples who joined the happily married Century Club, but that kind of perfect happens rarely these days.

Still, the thought of living 100 years on earth, with someone you love… Why, it's enough to keep baby spirits searching forever.. for that perfect someone.

For those of us who are not quite so perfect, a relationship that lasts for 50 years is considered a major accomplishment. Fifty year wedding anniversaries are special. That’s a lot of sharing, and a lot of sex.

Still, there are couples who are happily married for only 10 or 20 years. After the children leave home, some parents decide to go in different directions, to continue searching for a perfect partner and find more soul mates.

But, all things considered, at some point, we have to forget about the perfect part.

Over many lifetimes, we learn that it’s easier to find Miss Alright or Mr. Goodman, than to find Mister Right for Little Miss Perfect.

Finding a perfect person, and being one half of a perfect pair, on this crazy planet, only seems to happen in Hollywood movies.

Still, the fact that perfection isn't possible doesn’t stop us from trying.

Look at me, for example. I’m not perfect, so I’m not looking for a perfect woman. I’m looking for Miss Imperfect.. the one who fits me perfectly.

That means I’m looking for someone as imperfect as I am. I just want her to be perfect for me. My perfect partner will be a perfect balance. I hear perfectly balanced partners live longer, and have better sex lives too.

Some Rules of Reincarnation

According to the Rules of Reincarnation.. You don’t always get your first choice of where to live, when you're born on planet earth.

There’s a long line-up of baby spirits waiting to be born all over the planet. When your turn comes around, many of the best places on earth are already taken. You must accept being born wherever you are sent.

So finding a perfect imperfect partner is complicated by geographic location. You may have difficulty finding your destiny child, who might be born in Africa, if you live half a world away, in Russia, China, Canada or California. If you really want to find her, you have to move your ass.

I can illustrate how difficult it is to find a home when you’re in heaven, and planning your return to planet earth…

What seems like a lifetime ago, I searched all over America for a good home. North America was my assigned birthplace before the Second World War, during the Great Depression of the 1930s.

When my 120 year time limit finally expired, and I could be reborn sometime in the early nineteen forties,, my first choice of birthplace was Nashville, Tennessee, the homeland of Dolly Parton, and the Singer Sewing Machine Company.

When I was a baby spirit looking for a home, I wanted to be born as a child of the family that owned the Singer Sewing Machine Company.

I imagined growing up with a name like Bob Singer, and living in Nashville, which is popularly known as Music City.

I attracted a lot of attention in heaven, among girly baby spirits, with my plans to be born as Bob Singer, from Music City.

I remember meeting one cute baby girl spirit called Buffy. She was an original, for sure, and some kind of singing saint, but she was born before my time was up.

I was hoping to catch up with Buffy, by being born a couple of years later, with the name, Bob Singer.

In the never-ending search for perfect partners, timing is part of the challenge. The 1930s and 1940s were a bad time to be reborn because people couldn’t afford to have families.

Unfortunately, the Singer family decided against having another baby, because of the economic depression of the dirty thirties. Bye Bye Buffy.

In the war years, of the nineteen forties, my second choice for father was a famous singer, and anti-war activist, named Pete Seeger.

I figured, if my family name wasn't Singer, I could still be a singer, with a father like Pete Seeger, who was a folk singer, living in New York City.

Unfortunately, Pete Seeger didn’t have a girlfriend during the war years, because he was too busy saving the world, and fighting for justice in a time of social evolution. Pete Seeger had other priorities, but my Lifetime Clock was ticking.

Fortunately, when the Second World War finished, people were making babies all over the place, so I continued searching for a family to be born into.

My next choice for a birthplace was California, where I tried being born to Harpo Marx, who was famous in the Marx Brothers movies, but every baby spirit in California wanted to be born to Harpo Marx. Talk about competition..

My next dream team for perfect parents was Bob Hope and I Love Lucille Ball. When I was touring Hollywood, I saw how they looked at each other. I thought I could encourage them, by adding some sexual energy to their love affair.

History now informs us that Bob and Lucy, were truly having an affair. But they were both already married, so they didn't consummate their love with children.. like me.

On the positive side, Bob and Lucy did make a movie about having a love affair. The movie is called The Facts of Life. It’s a fun story, about Bob and Lucy and me.

I should have a credit for my part in their film. I’m the baby spirit who brought them together, many times. Thanks to me and my participation in their hot-blooded love affair, Bob and Lucy had a healthy sex life.

But Bob and Lucy didn’t come through for me as parents, so I hung around with Walt Disney for a while.

I even sang with Walt, when he was recording When You Wish Upon A Star, for his Disneyland TV show theme song.

Sadly, Walt was too busy playing with Mickey Mouse to think about having a real life baby like me.

I also considered being born to Fred Astaire who would have been a fun dad, as a star of stage and screen, but Fred Astaire already had lots of children. Those dancers.

Sadly, it was starting to look like all the good parents in California were taken.

Good parents are quickly grabbed up by the baby spirits who get to them first. First come is first born, by the rules of reincarnation. It really is a human race, for baby spirits. There was no place in California for me.

Leaving California was heartbreaking, and it wasn't about missing the sunshine. I had a feeling Annette Funicello and I could have been perfect partners, but it wasn’t to be. Frankie Avalon was standing in line ahead of me, at the sperm bank.

Then I tried teaming up with a beautiful girl spirit called Cher, but one Sonny day, she followed another guy down to earth. He was a real singer, like I wanted to be.

So I gave up on the California Dreamin’, and visited Vancouver and Toronto, the islands of the Caribbean, and Mexico, but I still couldn't find a perfect place to be born.

Everywhere I looked, all the best parents were taken.

144,000 Singing Saints

I should explain at this point that there were constraints on my search for a perfect birthplace, because of my destiny in this lifetime, to be a singer.

For me, to be born a singer, especially a good singer, my parents had to have some singing credits, spiritually speaking.

Maybe you’ve heard about the Book of Revelation in the Bible, which talks about 144,000 Singing Saints.

To make a long story short, there are 144,000 Singing Saints, living around the world, who can sing God's Song. That’s approximately one singing saint per 12,000 people.

When you’re a baby spirit, sitting in heaven for an eternity, being a Singing Saint sounds like an exciting kind of life. So I wanted to be born in my next lifetime as a Singing Saint.

To become a singing saint, it helps to be born to a singing saint.. or even better, to a couple of singing saints, but a couple of singing saints is hard to find.

Let me put it this way, things didn’t work out as I had planned. Of all the baby spirits I met in heaven, who would have been perfect partners in my next life, not one of them is living anywhere near me now.

It looks like finding a perfect partner, here on earth, might take a few lifetimes. Searching for singing parents can go on for decades.

The final stop, on my search for singing parents was near the ocean, in Nova Scotia, the birthplace of Anne Murray.

The sound of Atlantic Canada caught my ear. I could see lots of musical talent in the Merrytimes, more than in most places. I had high hopes for finding a singing partner there, even if I couldn’t find singing parents.

That is how I came to be.. after searching for decades, I finally chose to be born to a lovely young couple, living a quiet life, in a rural farming community, called Bible Hill.

My parents aren't singers, but that doesn’t matter. I’m still a singer, even if I don’t have the name. And so, life goes on.

God probably has a few more surprises in store for me too. At least, I have a body now, thanks to being born again.

The best thing about being reborn on earth is.. I can play music with my friends. Sometimes the music feels inspired.

Musical inspirations can feel like a gift from heaven, a gift of the spirit, as they say. A lot of the credit for our inspiration goes to the baby spirits that hang around with us, and sing with us sometimes.

As a child, I can remember, baby spirits would play with me, in my imagination, when no one else was around.

I’m older now, but when I was five years old.. I could sense baby spirits in my bedroom. They were waiting until I grew up, so they could be born to me.

At night, I could hear those angelic spirits hiding in the closet, or under the bed. They were waiting for me to mature, and have a family of my own.

Later in life, thinking as adults, we realize we can't rush into having a family, with lots of children. Until I find a willing partner to help me make some babies, those playful baby spirits will just have to wait.

They probably don’t have much to do, other than following me around all day, and communicating with me in my dreams.

I like to think that inspired dreams can become our favorite children and grandchildren someday. I still have great dreams sometimes. It feels good to be spiritually connected, even if it’s only with a baby spirit or two.

I have noticed, as time passes, that I’m forgetting about my past lives, and the many visits to heaven. I do remember how it felt to be singing with the angels, but memories of searching for soul mates are fading away.

It can be said that living on earth grows on a person, and sometimes life on earth demands our full attention. So I don’t think about heaven so much these days.

At this point in my life, I've got a lot of living to do. I'm more interested in spending time with people, and making friends, here on earth, than fantasizing about future children who I may or may not meet someday.

Perhaps I should stop recording this Reincarnation Memoir. All I really know is.. I’m still a child at heart, with a long life ahead of me, and we children need our sleep.

Tomorrow is another day, and there's so much to do, when you’re born again on planet earth.

People often feel they're being guided. Sometimes, it feels like we're guided by God.

But what if Baby Spirits are guiding us? It happens more often than people like to believe.

Think of it this way. When things happen in your life, maybe you can blame it on the Baby Spirits.
